Datuk Hod Fariman @ Parman was appointed as Director and Chairman of Telin (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd in October 2018.
As Chairman of the Board, he is responsible to closely monitor the development of the Company and to strategically advise the board members especially with regards to the business activities and the corporate roadmaps for Telin (M) Sdn Bhd

He has more than forty-five (45) years of working experience in the telecommunication and engineering services and involved greatly in the initial transformation of the communications and multimedia sector in Malaysia (the corporatisation and privatisation of communications sector) during 1987 – 1989; and the initial era of convergence of the communications and Multimedia Sector during 1998 – 1999.

He held several prominent positions in several government regulatory bodies such as Department of Telecommunications Malaysia (Jabatan Telekomunikasi Malaysia) as its Director General from 1994 to 1999, the Malaysia Communication and Multimedia Commission, as Consultant & Director of Technical Division from 1999 to 2001, and Director of Malaysia Technology Development Corporation (MTDC) from 2000 to 2004.

He was also a director in a listed entity Globetronics Technology Berhad from 2002 to 2004; as Group Advisor of VXL Management Sdn Bhd and as the CEO of Solsis Sdn Bhd in 2003 – 2004. He was active in the regional and international telecommunications forum such as ASEAN Telecommunications Regulatory Forum, ITU and Asia Pacific Telecommunity or APT (as President for 1996-1999 sessions) as well as Chair of Inmarsat Assembly of Parties 1994, London.

He was also a director in International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) Entrepreneur and Consultancies Sdn Bhd, Member of the Advisory board for University Tun Hussein Malaysia, Faculty Engineering; Member of Advisory Board of Engineering Faculty of University Putra Malaysia and Chairman of Wamata Solutions Sdn Bhd and Bridge ICT Solutions Sdn Bhd.

In addition to being Chairman of Telekomunikasi Indonesia International (M) Sdn Bhd (Telin Malaysia Sdn Bhd), he currently holds directorship and Chairman of TS Global Network Sdn Bhd. a subsidiary company of PT TelkomSat and PT Telin.

He graduated with a BSc (Hons) Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from University of Strathclyde, Scotland, United Kingdom. He also holds a Diploma in Electrical Engineering from the Technical College, Kuala Lumpur (now known as Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, UTM)
